About

We provide Yogic Guidance for experiencing health, well being, union and harmony

Dhanura in sanskrit means bow. Like an archer, we build ourselves strong and powerful, hold and use our instruments steadily, aspire while remaining calm, cool and true to our purpose, look ahead patiently while preparing ourselves to move straight forward, until we reach and attain our goal.

my Story

Namaste. I am Carolina, Yoga teacher specialized in Integral Yoga.

Since my childhood I have always been interested in philosophy, metaphysics and wanted to learn about other dimensions which go beyond material existence. I dreamed about making the world a better place and dedicating my life to helping others. I studied Law and Political Science and Administration with the idea of keeping on studying a postgraduate on Human Rights because I wanted to promote balance and equity and used to think that through understanding the rules, processes, structures and the way in which our material world works, I would be able to help others live a better life.

My Yogic Path started in my early twenties when looking for ways to cope with an experience of bereavement. I was focusing on my studies and keeping myself busy with multiple activities so I didn’t have to leave any space for thinking about my grief. In those days, I first developed my practice mainly through Jnana Yoga – by the study of Yogic texts and learning through books.

The last years of university I was living a very stressful life, studying, working and barely sleeping the few hours that I had available. Yoga continued helping me by finding ways to relax, calm, concentrate and focus. I kept on deepening my practice by attending workshops, sharing and learning with other yogins – Yoga practitioners.

After finishing my degrees, working in the legal department of a corporation dealing with customer’s complaints didn’t make me feel I was helping the people but the corporation’s interests instead, so submerged in a transcendental crisis, I quit my job, and tried to redefine my purpose in life. In those days, Yoga was a salvation which helped me recover from the burnout experienced and find a new purpose besides my feelings of failure. I decided to start from scratch and became an entrepreneur running a self-started business in which I could find fulfillment for many years, developing artistic skills as well as communication, co-ordination and organizational skills among others.

I kept on researching, deepening and developing my – sadhana – Yogic Practice. As the interest in finding answers to existential and transcendental matters grew even more during those years, I deepened my self-study and went on a process of transformation turning inwards, which helped me heal and be able to experience the joy and ecstasy of life. I felt that I needed to share that experience, and therefore, I decided I wanted to dedicate my life to teaching. So in my thirties, after many years of practice, I embraced a Yoga Teacher Training for two years. Since then, I have developed my teaching experience by designing and delivering group lessons in community centers, leading family-oriented, mother-oriented and children-oriented workshops, as well as others about chakras, meditation and pranayama, among others.

In the meantime, first I became a mum, a few years later a second baby arrived in our family, and furthermore, with a toddler and a baby, we also moved from country due to some familiar circumstances and opportunities. Yoga has helped me adapt to the challenges which have come along with these transitions. As a result, here I am adapting again to the circumstances, living a new adventure, following my Yogic Path with the same project in essence, but this time mainly online.

From the perspective of Integral Yoga, working from a holistic approach with all the dimensions of human being, I offer a variety of classes for working with your physical, vital-emotional and mental bodies in order to promote a state of peace, bliss and well being which facilitates connecting with your inner self, allowing it to express, developing your full potential, in order to live a life in harmony with yourself and the environment, experiencing oneness.

The path of seeking our truth might seem long and arduous, but inside each and everyone of us there is a light guiding from within. We can all connect with our inner light, finding, expressing and developing our unique and genuine path.
